Line 1: State, Society and Development Policies

This Line of Research involves projects that address both theoretical issues about the State, Public Policies and Development, from an interdisciplinary point of view, such as analyzes of regional development experiences and the relationships between development, sociocultural variables and public policies. It also analyzes the process of formulation and implementation of public policies in relation to social demands and their economic and social impacts on local and regional reality. Research will prioritize topics such as: development theories and their critiques; interdisciplinary approaches to the phenomenon of development and public policies; regional development; State and development policies; culture, education and development.

Line 2: Sociopolitical Dynamics and Development Experiences.

This Line of Research houses projects that aim to study the relations between the sociopolitical and cultural world, based on theoretical and methodological reflection and empirical research and contextualized analysis of concrete movements around development and public policies. In this sense, it will privilege the study of dynamics and experiences of development and management of municipalities, groups of municipalities and organizations such as cooperatives, solidarity economy enterprises, associations, companies and unions. The research projects in this line will address topics such as: socio-political dynamics, planning, management and development strategies; developmental situations; technology and social innovation; application of qualitative and quantitative methods in development research and public policies.
