Lines of research

Line 1. EDUCATIONAL POLICIES:

It studies the relationship between state and civil society in the social, economic and cultural contexts.  The processes of production, implementation and evaluation of educational public policies, especially those of teacher education, curriculum and educational management. It brings together a set of researchers and research projects that investigate education as a social and political construction, mediated and transformed by the disputes, conflicts, interests and power relations that occur in the different spaces/times of school, state, economy and culture. Its purpose is to understand the political dimensions of the educational phenomenon, especially the developments that take place within the processes of formulation, implementation, financing and evaluation of educational public policies.

Line 2: KNOWLEDGE AND DEVELOPMENT IN PEDAGOGICAL PROCESSES:

It investigates the knowledge and practices present in the pedagogical processes, focusing on Basic Education. It analyzes how common sense knowledge and scientific knowledge are generated, transformed and related to teaching and learning processes; how such knowledge guides the pedagogical practices in the collective of educational institutions and are (re) produced in these contexts; and how these practices affect the development of subjects and social groups, both in basic education and in teacher training courses. It integrates researchers from different areas of knowledge aimed at understanding and problematizing pedagogical processes as its central object of investigation.
